River Tyne Fishing post COVID-19

East Lothian Angling Association is happy to announce the re-opening of the River Tyne fishery from Friday 29th May, as part of the first phase of easing of COVID-19 lock-down restrictions, as announced today (28th May) by the Scottish Government.

Anglers are asked to observe carefully the guidelines for angling issued by the Forth District Salmon Fisheries Board, as shared below. Most importantly, please note that travel restrictions are still in place – only travel locally to fish. The breaching of guidelines and lock-down restrictions may still result in police action.

You must have a valid permit for the Tyne. Presently, these are most easily purchased on-line through the Fishing around the Forth website, as most if not all the shops selling our permits will remain closed. Season and day permits are available.
